Our little guy turned one this month! I can't believe a year has gone by since we brought him home! It really hasn't seem like that long ago but I hear time flies when you have kids. It's totally true. Time does fly when you have kids because of how busy you become with your schedule and it seems like there's a million things you have to get done in a day that you never have time for or that you never end up getting to. It's just crazy busy. Well, it has been a really fast and crazy year for us but we are so lucky and blessed to have an adorable little boy in our family. He is everything to us even though sometimes he can be a handful.

Here are some pictures from his birthday party! I wish I took more pictures from the party but I was super busy with everything else. That's what happens when you host a party....you don't have time to take pictures. Anyway, his birthday party went really well and we had a great time! There was plenty of food for everyone there and of course lots of cake for dessert. We also set up a bounce house and a cotton candy machine for the kiddies. The kids loved it! Thanks everyone for all your help and for coming to the party! We love you so much!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Max!! Hugs and Kisses!!

Vegas Weekend

We spent the past weekend in Vegas because of John's Baker to Vegas run. It was just fun to spend some time away from our little guy even if it was just for a couple of days. We were already missing him and thinking about him our first night there though. This was the longest time I've been away from Max so I was just constantly worrying about him even though I knew he was okay. Even though I worried about him, I did manage to have some fun in Vegas.

V-day yummies

Don't these look so yummy? I wish I could make yummy treats like these for Valentine's but I'm not that talented so John's just going to have to settle for something easy, like chocolate covered strawberries! Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Chinese New Year!!

Love

Being in love is so complicated......and often, hard to define. It's beyond that euphoric, being on cloud nine feeling or that constant need of wanting to be around that certain someone. It's something deeper and something even to this day, I don't quite understand, but it's something that I've always been addicted to, something I've always craved, something I've always longed for......that feeling of being in love. I need that feeling.......I want that feeling.

And now that I have it, I wonder, is there more to love than what I have now? Will it last forever and does love truly conquer all?

These are just some things I wonder about......and since Valentine's Day is just a couple days away.....well, I thought it would be totally relevant.

Max at 8 months

Making pizzas

It was kind of a last minute thing but we decided to get together one last time before Matt left for a fun pizza making party. We all made our own pizzas( I made like three) and then we topped it with yummy toppings. Of course it's nothing like a gourmet pizza but this was pretty good for homemade. You can't go wrong with pizza, right?

Annual Christmas Party

Every year for Christmas we get together for our very exclusive annual Christmas party where we make dinner together and then exchange Christmas presents with each other. It's our once a year reunion since we don't usually see ChiChi or Matt on a regular basis (only when they're in town) which is not very often. This year we had plenty of yummy food on the menu including cauliflower curry soup, tomato and mushroom puffs, garlic shrimp, steak, homemade bread, and fruit tart. We all ate until we were way stuffed but it was all worth it! Thanks, guys for a wonderful night! I miss you already!!!
