V-day yummies

Don't these look so yummy? I wish I could make yummy treats like these for Valentine's but I'm not that talented so John's just going to have to settle for something easy, like chocolate covered strawberries! Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Chinese New Year!!

Love

Being in love is so complicated......and often, hard to define. It's beyond that euphoric, being on cloud nine feeling or that constant need of wanting to be around that certain someone. It's something deeper and something even to this day, I don't quite understand, but it's something that I've always been addicted to, something I've always craved, something I've always longed for......that feeling of being in love. I need that feeling.......I want that feeling.

And now that I have it, I wonder, is there more to love than what I have now? Will it last forever and does love truly conquer all?

These are just some things I wonder about......and since Valentine's Day is just a couple days away.....well, I thought it would be totally relevant.

Max at 8 months

Making pizzas

It was kind of a last minute thing but we decided to get together one last time before Matt left for a fun pizza making party. We all made our own pizzas( I made like three) and then we topped it with yummy toppings. Of course it's nothing like a gourmet pizza but this was pretty good for homemade. You can't go wrong with pizza, right?

Annual Christmas Party

Every year for Christmas we get together for our very exclusive annual Christmas party where we make dinner together and then exchange Christmas presents with each other. It's our once a year reunion since we don't usually see ChiChi or Matt on a regular basis (only when they're in town) which is not very often. This year we had plenty of yummy food on the menu including cauliflower curry soup, tomato and mushroom puffs, garlic shrimp, steak, homemade bread, and fruit tart. We all ate until we were way stuffed but it was all worth it! Thanks, guys for a wonderful night! I miss you already!!!

my not-so-picky eater

I'm so happy that Max is not a picky eater. He's been eating everything we give him and he likes just about anything which makes mealtime so much easier for all of us. Best of all, he loves his veggies.

Sapa Dinner

had a piece of the oh so delicious Happy Ending cake

Jenny and Lansia gave me a much needed massage pass-thanks, girls!

I had their yummy Sapa Noodles-it's pretty much pad thai

a girl can never have enough earrings, right?-thanks, Holly

So for my birthday dinner, we ended up going to Sapa, which is an Asian restaurant that serves all kinds of asian dishes but mainly Vietnamese, Thai, and Japanese. This was our first time there and we were not disappointed. The food was super good and I would have to say, not your typical asian restaurant either because of all their unique dishes on their menu. It was a great night and my tummy and I were very happy. I would definitely go there again just to try some of their other things on their menu but the place is a bit pricey. Thanks Jenny, Lansia, and Holly for such a great night and of course, for the lovely presents too!
