Weekend party

Lansia, me, Holly, and Rod

On Saturday, Holly invited us to her brother's party at their place!! Her other brother, Mony, who is in culinary school out in Vermont was visiting and was the one who put together all the delicious hour'dourves  for us!! His food was awesome!! The party was great with a great turn out!! Good times!! (except for the weirdo with an asian fetish that followed us around!! so creepy!) Yeah, some guys just don't get it! I'm happily married and I'm just not interested!! Go away!!

Achievement Day

So I guess I'll post about one of the callings I have in my ward. Besides being called as one of the nursery leaders, I'm also in charge of achievement day activities with the primary girls ages 8-11. So once a month, on a Saturday, I try to plan a fun and interesting activity for the girls. The goal is to help them prepare for young womens so this past Saturday, I had the girls make their own place mats with a Fall theme. I wanted them to be creative at the same time so I asked them to bring a picture of themselves to put in the middle and then some leaves to decorate the background around their picture. I brought stickers and other things for them so that they could decorate the background even more and at the same time add a little something to their place mats. Fun idea, huh? Yeah, I thought so too!! So, their projects turned out great and I was glad nothing traumatic happened in the process!!! Very nice!! Then afterwards I thought it would be fun if they made caramel apples and then decorated them with candy so I had all the girls help unwrap all the caramel to melt in the pot and then had them take turns stirring until it was all melted. Then it was time to dip their apples in some caramelly goodness and decorate!! Oh, I'm so glad these girls had a fun time because I never know what to expect!!

Brad and Natalee

My sister was sweet enough to let me come along to see what it'll be like to do a wedding. I definitely think weddings are lot more stressful and hectic than normal photo sessions. I really admire photographers that specialize in doing just weddings because it's really not as easy as it looks! Overall, it was a great experience for me to see firsthand what it would be like.

We'll miss you, Enge!

Enge and me

the family in front of the MTC

So it's been about a month since I posted something so I thought I should get my blog caught up with what's been going on in my life. Well, sad to say, there hasn't been much going on in my life lately! My adorable little sister, Enge, left for the MTC a couple weeks ago. She'll be going to Taipei, Taiwan for her mission! How exciting, huh? I'm so jealous! She'll be an awesome missionary and I know she'll have tons of fun in Taiwan! She'll be eating all sorts of yummy Taiwanese food! That's one thing I love and miss about Taiwan-the awesome food there! Well, it was definitely a sad good-bye. Right when I got to the MTC I was already holding back tears! So sad! I didn't start start bawling until after the meeting when we were actually saying our final good-byes! By then my whole family was in tears! Well, she left for a very good cause and I'm glad she made such a great decision to go on a mission! I know she will influence many lives in Taiwan and in the process make a lot of friends on the way! Well, good luck, Enge! We'll miss you so much!
